A conversation with Guglielmo Brambilla

Guglielmo Brambilla is a product designer based between Milan, London, and Seoul, where he currently lives. Trained in Italy and Denmark, he worked for Nicholai Wiig Hansen, Philippe Malouin, Bethan Laura Wood, and Fabrica. 

He is fascinated by material culture, by the narrative power of objects, and by the rituals related to them. He believes in the importance of traditions but also in the necessity to recontextualize them through the introduction of new artefacts and habits. His projects have been exhibited at Triennale Design Museum, Fuorisalone, and MARQ in Buenos Aires. 

In 2019, AD Italia selected him amongst the "Seven for the Future", the new generation of Italian designers.

[IT] Guglielmo Brambilla è un product designer con sede a Milano, Londra e Seoul, dove attualmente vive. La sua formazione è stata in Italia e Danimarca, ha poi lavorato per Nicholai Wiig Hansen, Philippe Malouin, Bethan Laura Wood e Fabrica.

È affascinato dalla cultura materiale, dal potere narrativo degli oggetti e dai rituali ad essi collegati. Crede nell'importanza delle tradizioni ma anche nella necessità di ricontestualizzarli attraverso l'introduzione di nuovi manufatti e abitudini. I suoi progetti sono stati esposti al Triennale Design Museum, al Fuorisalone e al MARQ di Buenos Aires.

Nel 2019 AD Italia lo ha selezionato tra i "Seven for the Future", la nuova generazione di designer italiani.
