Alaa and Prisca discuss her project and exhibition called “Our Home Our Stories” that took place at the Museum of the Home in London. Alaa explains the different parts of the installations, what are the different meaning of the installation elements and what was her vision about it. The discussion continues by Alaa discussing her artistic process and how it’s connected with the recurring theme of home and belonging.

Alaa Alsaraji is a London-based visual artist, designer and creative facilitator. Whilst maintaining her own creative practice through editorial work and exhibitions, she has also worked with various creative and educational organisations as a facilitator delivering creative workshops with children and adults. Throughout her various roles her work always seeks to emphasise the value of using creativity as a pedagogical process to address and explore larger issues such as identity, faith and race.

Pur mantenendo la propria pratica creativa attraverso lavori editoriali e mostre, ha anche lavorato con varie organizzazioni creative ed educative come facilitatrice offrendo laboratori creativi con bambini e adulti. Durante i suoi vari ruoli, il suo lavoro cerca sempre di enfatizzare il valore dell'uso della creatività come processo pedagogico per affrontare ed esplorare questioni più ampie come l'identità, la fede e la razza.
